Lesson 1, Topic 1
In Progress

Practical tips for building a healthy romantic relationship. In this lesson, we’ll provide practical tips for building a strong and loving relationship with your partner, and discuss the role of forgiveness in maintaining a healthy romantic relationship.

One of the keys to building a healthy romantic relationship is open and honest communication. As scripture says, “Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.” (Ephesians 4:29) This verse reminds us to be mindful of our words and to use them to encourage and uplift our partner rather than to tear them down.

Another important aspect of building a healthy romantic relationship is forgiveness. All relationships experience challenges and conflicts at some point, and it’s important to be able to forgive one another when these occur. Forgiveness can help to heal wounds and strengthen your bond with your partner.

As you work to build a healthy and loving romantic relationship, we encourage you to seek guidance from Christ and to apply these principles in your own relationship. Remember, He is always there to guide and strengthen you, and He can provide you with the wisdom and strength you need to build a strong and loving relationship with your partner.

Ephesians 4:29 reminds us that unwholesome talk is any type of speech that is negative, harmful, or damaging in some way. This can include using harsh or offensive language, spreading gossip or rumors, or engaging in other types of negative or hurtful speech.

The Bible teaches us to be mindful of our words and to use them to encourage and uplift others rather than to tear them down. Ephesians 4:29 advises us to “not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.” This verse encourages us to be mindful of the impact of our words on others, and to use them in a way that is positive and helpful rather than negative and harmful.

Using foul language or engaging in unwholesome talk can have negative consequences for ourselves and others. It can damage relationships, create conflict, and even lead to physical harm in some cases. By choosing to use our words wisely and to speak in a way that is respectful and uplifting, we can build positive relationships and create a more positive and loving community.
